Sneakers - stepping into urban culture

A celebrated documentary about the rise of sneaker culture in Brazil, premiered at Sao Paulo International Film Festivals

My roles: Direction, Photography, Editing

Date: Fall 2008 

Through interviews with collectors, designers, graffiti artists, skateboarders, marketers, resellers and researchers, the documentary Sneakers—Entrando de Sola na Cultura Urbana (Sneakers—Stepping into Urban Culture) addresses the cultural relationships embodied in design objects, the rise of sneaker culture in Brazil, and the role of design in everyday life.

 Created as a final project for the School of Communications and Arts at University of São Paulo (USP), the 48 minute documentary captured the attention of the press after being selected for the 32nd São Paulo International Film Festival (mostra.org).
